UCML & others send Brexit Letter

This letter has been written by a number of heads of UK modern languages & linguistics subject associations, including UCML, and endorsed by several others. It will be sent to the media and a number of leading UK politicians.

This letter (see attachment) has been written and signed by a number of heads of UK modern languages & linguistics subject associations, including UCML, and endorsed by several others.

It will be sent to the media and a number of leading UK politicians:

1. Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation (Jo Johnson);
2. Secretary of State for Education (Justine Greening) and her Shadow (Angela Rayner);
3. Secretary of State for Leaving the European Union (David Davis) and his Shadow (Keir Starmer);
4. The Prime Minister, the leader of the Opposition and the parliamentary leaders of the Lib Dems (Tim Farron), SNP (Angus Robertson), DUP (Nigel Dodds);
5.  The First Ministers of the three devolved administrations (Nicola Sturgeon, Carwyn Jones and James Brokenshire);
6. Baroness Coussins, Chair of the APPG on Modern Languages.
